Feathers Comedy club announces auditions for the Boston Comedy Festival to be held June 6, 2007. Twelve comedians will be jockeying for a spot in the prestigious October comedy festival. Boston Comedy Competition Auditions will be held at the South Bay's original comedy club, Wednesday June 6, 2007. ROOSTERS HAS A REPUTATION TO PROTECT - Two years ago the Grand Prize Winner of the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, Ryan Stout, was plucked from the stage of Sunnyvale's own Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club. Every year, the hottest Bay Area up-and-comers flock to Rooster T's to lay it all on the line, and audition in the hopes of becoming the next big thing. "The big names in comedy don't always come from New York or LA," said Heather Barbieri, comedian and owner of Rooster T. Feathers comedy club. "We're proud that Ryan got his shot right here in Sunnyvale, and there are some folks on this year's lineup that we know are also destined for greatness." The Boston Comedy Festival, in its seventh year, features ninety-six comedians from around the country who battle it out for the attentions of talent scouts, managers and booking agents, as well as comedy fans in attendance--and a chance at the $10,000 purse. Bay Area auditions will be held at 8:00 pm at the historic Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club in Sunnyvale. The first 150 guests will also be treated to free ha-ha-hot dogs! Doors open at 7:00 pm and tickets cost $10. All shows are 21 and over only with a valid ID, and there is a two-item minimum per person.
