The Comed-o-Therapy Benefit For The Jimmy Fund
The Comedy Connection, Boston, hosts the first annual Comed-o-Therapy Benefit for The Jimmy Fund, Honoring Jeanne Shippey on October 23, 2007. The night of side-splitting laughs emceed by Las Vegas headliner Cathe B stars LOGO TV and star of Margaret Cho's Sensuous Woman revue- Ian Harvie, along with recent Conan O'Brien guest and comedy festival favorite Shane Mauss. Joining them is Boston comedy legend and star of the recent "When Stand Up Stood Out", Chance Langton. Rounding out the night, local favorite Jon Lincoln is joined by MTV and A&E star, Jim Lauletta, just back from a recent Vegas tour. Other surprise guests are expected for this event, that's expected to be a sell-out due to media sponsorship from the mega-popular community site, MySpace, A Place for Comedy.
Tickets for the event are available through the Comedy Connection Box Office in September, at $25 each. Ticket sales go directly to The Jimmy Fund. The Jimmy Fund assists the Dana-Farber Institute in its goal to conquer cancer and cancer related diseases, and to assuage the fears cancer creates. Other sponsors include: Audio-One, For All Professional Audio and Video Needs; The Bill Rodgers Running Store; Acme Books of Somerville; and Godless Grief.
